Text

With Aunt Essie, Uncle Sam and their children, Vera and David, Aunt Flo, Uncle Jim and their offspring, Betty and Norman, Aunt May and Uncle James with their children Alex, Jim and Nancy, and unmarried Uncle David, all living in Belfast, we had plenty of relatives nearby. Whilst we kept in regular contact, we all looked forward to the get together of all the clans, especially birthdays and, even more so, at Christmas, when each of my aunts hosted a visit to their home. The children dined together first and the seniors at second. After the eats, games for the children in one room, the seniors settled in the other room for a real chin wag.
