Practically all details of our wedding is overleaf, but as it only tells what the bride wore, I can reveal that I wore a dark dress suit, light grey tie, a carnation in my buttonhole and my shoes well polished. It was a good form for the weather was good and, in the morning, I played a tennis tie and won at local tennis club Dunedin. The reason for playing it on such a day was that two previous attempts to play same had been rained off and it had to be played before the end of the week, I was away. Otherwise, I would have been scratched out of the competition. Our honeymoon was to Scarborough and we spent our first night together on the Belfast to Heysham ferry. When we opened our case in the small cabin, a lot of confetti spilled out and took a lot of time to pick up. The culprit for doing this was, I believe, my Uncle Jim who insisted on carrying our bags out on leaving the reception. Never mind. We had a lovely time in Scarborough and a good start to our married life.
