This is Paula and Mary on Paula's wedding day in August 1967. Preparations were well advanced for her June wedding when their father died suddenly on the 3rd of June 1967. It was decided to reschedule the wedding for August. It was a bitter sweet celebration. Mary was allowed to attend the church ceremony. Her aunts and Mary had to be content with a meal at home.
