We came to Limavady at 1970 and eventually I settled down when we bought our own house at 1973. Limavady people were very friendly and helped me in so may ways to setting up a home. At this stage the children were growing up and started the local Grammar School and got my independence having my own car. I started working in a big Department shop at Coleraine at Dixons. I enjoyed my part time job and made so many friends. After working one year, I decided to take up some courses in the local College of Further Education. I got a place as a mature fulltime student for two years and completed an Intensive Medical Secretarial Course. Then I got a job in the Civil Service at Londonderry. I was traveling from Limavady and enjoyed my job. After working at the Civil Service, I was upgraded to the Health Service at Limavady where I worked twenty years. Those working years were very memorable and happy years for me.
